Summer phun (and stream-of-consciousness posts)

So yeah… so far I’m having a total blast this summer. I work 5 to 6 days a week, but I’m usually off by 3, so I’m free for the next 9 or so hours to do whatever the heck I want. It totally rules. I’m hanging out a lot more than before.

It makes me a little sad, though, because I’m not hanging out with any McClintock kids right now. So CALL ME and let’s do something some afternoon! I’d hate to go, “Oh, now I’m up at CSU… Hmm, I never saw so-and-so, and now he’s going to such-and-such school 1000 miles away.”

I’m also in techno-withdrawal, since I’m always out. Not a bad thing, but definitely waaay different from summers past, wasting away in the CSU library with nothing to do with my time.

Zeke’s girl-craziness factor really sucks right now. Especially since he doesn’t want to start anything because he’ll just be moving away in two months… 🙁 bleah. Die, hormones, die. *stabs hormones to death*

I need a haircut.

Graduation

It’s all done now, at last.

Graduation itself was what I expected from going to the last two with band… And that means long. But that’s OK. I didn’t take photos, obviously, but luckily for all of you, my friend Alan did. You can see his photos here.

And for a strangely disturbing comparison, look at this one. One is my economics teacher. The other is my mom. Very strange.

I didn’t go to grad night because they make you stay until 4 AM so that you don’t do stupid things that teens do, and I had work the next morning at 9 AM. I went and hung out with the folks from AG instead… And ended up staying out until 6. The only reason that I survived yesterday doing an 8 hour shift at work was the fact that I chugged a Rockstar energy drink.

Now I’m officially on the working-full-time-this-summer schedule. This is my first day off in a week. I’m adjusting OK- it’s just a little bit shorter than school was usually, but the time passes a lot faster. Only a little while until I can buy a MacBook.

And I suddenly don’t feel like blogging more.

…work?

Wow. I’m working full time now. I haven’t done that before, so I have to let my brain adjust to it… I’ll probably be working 5 to 6 days in a row. I was working 2 days a week for the last couple of months, so it’s a bit of whiplash… But that’s OK. I don’t have school to stress me out, and I don’t mind being at work at all. I might get a little tired of Mexican food, though…. I had Taco Del Mar friday night, sunday at lunch, Chipotle at dinner, Taco Del Mar again for lunch again monday and today…. And filiberto’s for dinner. And guess where I’ll be eating lunch again tomorrow?!

So I don’t think I’ll be eating out much.

Graduation in 2 days. w00t. My mommy’s coming to town.

Done.

It’s nice being done with high school. I won’t have homework for a while. Saying goodbye to a lot of people that I’ll probably never see again was a little weird, but it happens every once in a while.

Went to this place called “Narrows” up near Payson yesterday… Basically a part of Tonto creek that has great cliff diving. It was really fun… Got a horrible sunburn, and we did a lot of more difficult hiking (at parts it turned more into swimming up the creek… Backpacks were very wet. We plan on going more this summer, it should be a total blast. Despite my horrible ankle and shoulder burns, still managed to go swing dancing, too!

Work is already cranking up the hours. This is great- getting a headstart on my MacBook savings. I had a little mini-rite of passage on Friday, got my first credit card- a CapitalOne card with Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” for a design. It’s pretty. And will build my credit rating. And has a whopping 20.05% APR. Bleah.

That’s about all for The Zeke now. ‘ta!
